Some believe getting an MBA will mark a path to purposeful careers yet learning processes, supply chain management, relationships, branding, and execution are tested and refined infield. Chrissy is a great example of someone who is hardworking, focused, 100% mission-driven and most importantly devoted to her new venture. Even though correlations between endurance sports athletes and business owners are plentiful there’s one performance component that is difficult to access, mental performance. Chrissy is developing her mental endurance strength and one that is inspiring a lot of entrepreneurs out there especially for young ladies who want to carve out a business path for themselves. It takes a lot of courage and grit to keep going.

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO NUTRITION?
Eating as many nutrient dense foods as possible, getting outside for some sun and trying not to let stress get to me too much!
WHAT DO YOU WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW ABOUT NUTRITION?
Not all of our bodies are the same in the way we eat. Everyone has slightly different needs.
HOW HAS NUTRITION IMPACTED YOUR LIFE?
It's given me a whole new outlook on life and my body. Our bodies truly are a gift and we need to love them and treat them well with healthy food, daily gratitude and actives that make us feel good.
HOW IMPORTANT IS MINDFULNESS TO REACH PEAK PERFORMANCE?
Very important! Our minds are so powerful, if we don't believe we are healthy and if we don't believe we are in shape- we won't be.
HOW IMPORTANT IS BREATH TO REACHING PEAK PERFORMANCE?
Also super important. Not breathing properly not only stops us from being able to reach peak performance, but prevents us from recovering well and can physically hold us back due to stress and anxiety we are caring around.
WHICH HABITS HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR BUSINESS AND LIFE GOALS?
Having fun with my business partner Jayla, spending time with my boyfriend and pets, making time to eat right and get some fitness in and learning how to cope with stress.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE FEELING STRESSED OUT?
Try to focus on my breathing, listen to upbeat music, spending time with my pets and knowing that everything happens for a reason- trusting the adventure.

WHAT ARE YOUR WEAKEST AND STRONGEST CHARACTER TRAITS?
Weakest- Public speaking, I'm stubborn at times, sometimes overly serious and can forget to put my health first if I get too wrapped up in work.
Strongest- Ambitious, hard working, creative, capable of teaching myself almost anything.
HOW DO YOU GET INTO THE ZONE?
It doesn't take much for me... just visualizing people loving the product and knowing we haven't presented Kalumi to everyone yet gets me going. I can see the potential it has to be in every millennial girl's life and I won't stop until we do!
DO YOU MEDITATE?
Not completely or "properly" yet- but I'm learning. For the past 2 years, I've been journaling a bit as my form of meditation and it's super empowering. I love yoga because it forces me to slow down and breath.
